MAC (Murray Arts Council):  Hosts a variety of art and photography displays and other events throughout the year. 120 N 3rd Ave, Chatsworth

County Line RC Speedway:  Indoor oval dirt track for remote control car racers and enthusiasts: 5551 Hwy 411 N, Chatsworth

Dawgwood Speedway:   Dirt kart track hosting several events per year: 5186 Hwy 225 S, Chatsworth.

North Georgia Speedway:  Dirt track hosting multiple races per year. 300 N Ga Raceway Rd, Chatsworth

Historical Interests

Chief Vann House:    Historical home of Cherokee Chief Joseph Vann.  Includes home, village, museum and theater.  Open year round for tours.  Special events include ‘Vann House Days’ every summer and ‘Christmas by Candlelight’ each December.  82 GA-225, Chatsworth GA 30705

Chatsworth GA Train Depot:   Special events include ‘The Polar Express’, Thomas Day  and Train Model Day Expos. They are also open for tours during ‘Super Museum Sunday’. 581 N 1st Ave, Chatsworth

Old Spring Place Methodist Church:   Home of the annual Spring Place Festival. 237 Elm St, Chatsworth, GA 30705

Wright Hotel: Historical hotel/museum.  Yearly events include a semi-annual antique and rummage sell every Spring/Fall, Tea with Mom' just before Mother's Day. Tours during ‘Super Museum Sunday’ and other events as announced. 201 E Market Street, Chatsworth, Ga 30705

Abundance Farms:  Farm with a store offering an abundance of site-produced farm products.  Classes include soap making and jam/jelly making. (706) 299-3141

Early Bloomers Greenhouse:  Family operated greenhouse offering a variety of plants, produce and honey.  758 Old Sawmill Rd, Chatsworth

Prewitt Berry Farm: (Open seasonally) U pick and prepicked blackberries and blueberries: 1085 River Rd, Chatsworth

Rising Springs Farm:  Vegetable Farm and Greenhouse offering several yearly events.  Examples include painting events, ready, set, grow! workshop and more. 1170 Beaverdale Rd, Crandall

Recreation

Carter’s Lake: Fishing, swimming, hiking, boating and water sports. Visit Carter’s Lake Nature Center to learn about lake history and the animals who live there.  Visit the nearby butterfly garden or practice archery in a special area at the lower dam.  Dine at the Carter's Lake Marina and Resort Restaurant or bring a basket to enjoy a picnic at several tables and venues at different areas of the lake.  Campsites, cabins available for rent. 1850 Carter's Dam Rd, Chatsworth GA 30705 

Cohutta Pines:  100 acre firearms training course. 367 Old Hwy 2, Cisco

Cycle Trails: 12 miles of motorbike trials composed of the Windy Gap, Milma Creek and Tibbs OHV Trails.  

Fort Mountain State Park: Activities include fishing, hiking, swimming, picnicking, miniature golf, canoe and pedalboat rentals, with areas available for biking and horseback riding.  Ranger led activities are also commonplace.  Hosts the 'Black Bear Plunge' each January 1. Lake Conasauga: 19-acre lake near the summit of Grassy Mountain. The highest lake in Georgia at 3,150 feet above sea level. Swimming, hiking, grills and camping. Note that the journey is on long, winding dirt roads. Click here for map

Morrison's Pool ; Swimming pool open to the public: 144 Norton Bridge Rd, Chatsworth

Murray County Saddle Club:  Hosts a multitude of rodeos, horse shows and barrel races each year: Hwy 52, Chatsworth

Sports Complexes:   Publicly accessible pickleball courts, gyms, soccer fields and more.
